Frequently Asked Questions
Planning your yacht cruise? Helpful info before you book.
Booking & Prices
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance, especially for weekend or holiday dates. Popular time slots can fill quickly during summer and peak season.
Is the price per person or for the whole boat?
Whole boat. One flat rate for your group of up to 12 – never a per-head charge, never shared with strangers.
How do we handle payment for the crew and fuel?
The base cruise fee is paid at the time of booking. Additional required fees for the captain, deckhand, and fuel are paid directly at the dock prior to departure.
Is there a minimum age requirement to charter the yacht?
Yes. The primary renter (charterer) must be at least 21 years old and present at the time of boarding to sign the charter agreement.
Do I need boating experience or a license to rent?
No license is required. A licensed captain and crew will operate the boat for you, and their services are paid directly at the dock.
What happens if the weather is bad?
In the case of unsafe weather, we’ll work with you to reschedule. Safety always comes first, and your captain will make the final call on whether the trip can go ahead.
Do you run cruises year-round?
Yes, but availability may vary based on daylight hours and weather conditions.
Your Group
How many guests can we bring?
Up to 12 guests, and the whole boat is yours — you are never sharing a deck with another group. The flybridge on the upper deck holds 6 at a time.
Will we be alone on the boat?
Yes. The charter is fully private — nobody on board but your party and the crew, who stay out of the way.
Are kids welcome?
Yes, families are welcome. The yacht offers a comfortable, safe environment for guests of all ages. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Food & Drinks
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Absolutely. Light snacks, sandwiches, and cold platters are welcome. We provide basic serving items like cups and plates. Just avoid full catered meals that need onboard preparation.
Can we bring alcohol?
Yes, within limits: one bottle of hard liquor per six guests. Beer, wine and hard seltzers do not count toward that limit — we just ask everyone to drink responsibly. If you bring more spirits than the limit, we will ask you to leave the excess at the dock for pickup after the trip.
Can we bring a cake?
Yes. Cake, cold platters and other light, easy-to-serve items are fine. What we cannot take is hot or greasy food, soups, anything prone to spilling, or full catered meals — and no sternos or open flames, which means no candles that need lighting.
On the Day
Where do we board, and how early?
Our dock is 417 Bay 41st St, Brooklyn — Bath Beach, minutes from the open harbour. Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure with your whole group. The person booking must be 21 or older, present with government-issued ID, and sign the charter agreement before boarding.
What should I wear and bring?
There’s no formal dress code, but guests typically opt for casual-elegant attire. Bring a light jacket (especially for evening cruises), sunglasses, and your phone or camera for photos. Flat shoes with grip are best for comfort and safety on deck.
Can we play our own music?
Yes — the boat has a Bluetooth stereo with an aux input. Connect your phone and run your own playlist.
What if I get seasick easily?
Our yacht is equipped with a Seakeeper stabilisation system that minimises rocking. Most guests find the ride smooth and comfortable, even if they’re usually sensitive to motion.
