Proposal Yacht Cruise in NYC
You get one shot at the story you’ll both tell forever. A private yacht at sunset — the skyline glowing, no crowd, and a crew that keeps the secret. Plan the moment today!
Not sure about timing yet? Every private yacht charter in NYC we run — sunset, night or skyline — works for a proposal; the crew is briefed the same way.
Cruise Details
Charter Duration and Schedule
Most proposals happen on the sunset slot — golden hour light on the skyline, calm water, and the moment timed exactly where you want it. Charters run 2 or 4 hours with the whole 47-foot yacht to yourselves; boarding is at our Brooklyn dock at 417 Bay 41st St, about 15 minutes before departure.
Tell us the plan when you book. The captain will hold position against the skyline, the crew stays out of the frame, and nothing gives it away until you’re ready. On Friday nights through late August, the question can end with the Coney Island fireworks.
Cruise Highlights
A restaurant proposal happens at a table someone else booked twice that night. Here there’s nobody on board but the two of you and the crew, the city moves past as the light drops, and the photos come from open water. It’s the difference between a nice dinner and a story with a skyline in it.

Why Choose It?
Champagne stays cold in the refrigerator, the Seakeeper stabilizer keeps the deck — and the ring hand — steady, and the Bluetooth stereo plays your soundtrack, not a restaurant’s. There’s a bathroom aboard and an air-conditioned cabin, and the crew quietly coordinates the timing so the skyline sits behind the moment.
FAQ’s
How much is a proposal cruise?
Private charters start at $1,250 for 2 hours — the whole 47-foot yacht for up to 12 guests, not a price per person. Four hours is $1,800, a full day $4,500.
Can the crew help keep it a surprise?
Yes — tell us ahead of time and we will time the moment against the skyline and coordinate quietly with the captain, so nothing gives it away until you are ready.
When is the best time to go?
Golden hour. Most of our proposals happen on the sunset charter, when the light is on the skyline and the water is at its calmest. On Friday nights through late August there is also the option of ending the question with the Coney Island fireworks.
Will we be alone on the boat?
Yes. The charter is fully private — nobody on board but your party and the crew, who stay out of the way.
Can we bring champagne?
Yes, within limits: one bottle of hard liquor per six guests. Beer, wine and hard seltzers do not count toward that limit — we just ask everyone to drink responsibly. If you bring more spirits than the limit, we will ask you to leave the excess at the dock for pickup after the trip.

“The Coney Island fireworks cruise was the highlight of our summer. Great music, cold drinks, and amazing views. Our kids loved it, and we got the best pictures of the fireworks from the upper deck.”
Jason M.
“Booked last minute and it completely changed the way I’ll spend July 4th from now on. Smooth ride, friendly crew, and an awesome view of the Wonder Wheel lit up with fireworks in the background. Totally worth it.”
Vanessa M.
“We booked a private yacht cruise to Coney Island for my best friend’s birthday, and honestly, it couldn’t have gone better. The boat was super clean and had more than enough space for our group of ten to relax and celebrate.”
Michael A.
“We did the 4th of July cruise with the family and it was amazing from start to finish. The boat was clean, spacious, and picked us up right on time. We cruised past the city lights and it was the perfect spot to watch the fireworks. The whole night just felt easy and fun. Definitely worth it if you’re looking for a more relaxed way to celebrate the holiday.”

Proposal Yacht Cruise in NYC: One Moment, Done Right
You get one shot at the story you’ll both tell forever. A private yacht at sunset — the skyline glowing, no crowd, no restaurant timing your table — is a hard setting to beat. Most of our proposals happen on the sunset cruise, and the captain has seen enough of them to get the timing right.
How a Yacht Proposal Works
- Tell us the plan when you book. We’ll coordinate the route so the moment lands with the skyline (or the sunset) exactly where you want it.
- Keep it two of you — or hide your closest friends and family on board for the reveal (the yacht takes up to 12).
- Champagne is welcome. Bring your own; the fridge and basic serving items are on board.
- Steady deck, steady hands — the Seakeeper stabilizer keeps the boat (and the ring shot) level.
When to Go
Golden hour is the classic. For something bigger, a Friday fireworks cruise at Coney Island ends the question with fireworks — literally, every Friday all summer.
What It Costs
